Smith and wesson M&P .22 pistol

Just saw they are coming out with an M&P .22 pistol.

What do you guys think about it? Think it will be top notch like their other M&P pistols or just a weak attempt at the .22 market.

Either way its looks like fun!

Nice! Might have to pick up one of these...I picked up a Colt .22lr 1911 a few weeks ago to go with my Colt MK IV Series 70. Guess this would be a good little brother to the M&P 45 I have.

I have no reason to think it will be a weak attempt based on the M&P 9 and 9c. Just hope it's in the $200 range.

Hah, not a chance sir.. MSRP is going to be around $400.00

I just handled one today and it is of decent quality. Slide is very nice, no removable backstrap, and has some weight to it as I would expect from a 22. Was priced at $380+tax locally.

I am waiting for S&W to come out w/ a 22 kit for my M&P9.

Did you get a chance to try the trigger? (yes, I know you should not dry fire a .22).
