Thats a great looking buck man! I've never been lucky enough to shoot one 20 minutes after being the stand. I ALWAYS have to wait at least an hour before one shows up.

I hunted this particular stand at a wim, hadn't really planned on hunting it.

I shot this buck last night at 5:50 PM after being the stand for only 20 minutes. This is the nicest buck I have ever killed with a muzzle loader. Live weight was 181.5 pounds. I hunted the star I shot him from on a last minute decision.

Don't you just love it when a long thought out complicated tedious plan all comes together.

I swung by the taxidermist, for a minute to get an idea of the width. It was 14 inches inside spread, not huge and I knew it wouldnt be. Brow tines are 5 inches. They told me when measuring the head for the mount the average from the nose to eye is 7 inches, mine was 8.25, and the average neck is 17, mine was a tad over 18 inches. I new he had a big head and kinda makes the rack look small. I am still happy with it.
