Im sure they are protesting over the gangsta that got shot In the Maserati near there a few weeks ago.

What I've seen is that it was for both the man that got shot in the Maserati and a show of solidarity with the case in Baltimore. As long as the people in the protest are peaceful, I support their right to assemble as guaranteed in the First Amendment. From the size and nature of the police presence, there must have been some expectation that the protest might be otherwise. I certainly hope that neither side was intending to intimidate.
