Snake Bite

I've been bit a few times and no, Benedryl wouldn't have worked for me.

Sorry about pooch. Good call with the Hawk nearby.

We use the crushed mothballs. Seems to curb them back....wouldn't call it a total fix, but I see FAR less now.

Glad to hear your dog is OK. From what I've read copperhead bites are usually not all that bad, and the theory is that the majority of their bites are dry bites since they produce such little venom.
 
Dog will probably be just fine, BUT keep an eye out for secondary infection. The venom can kill tissue inside the leg and it can necrotize. If that happens, to the vet you go.
 
my snake chopper when I'm out with my best friend is a bond arms 2 barrel derringer with two short rounds of #9 OR MY 9MM OR 45 GLOCK WITH SHOT CARTRIDGE FIRST ROUND UP. LOVE DOGS, MANY BETTER THAN PEEPS! PEEPS COULD LEARN FROM DOGS! :pop2:
