Snake ID? What is this guy

Agree it's a black rat snake not a eastern king. Good snake but I'm pretty sure that rat snakes don't usually actually eat poisonous snakes like king snakes do. Just saying.
Everything I have read says that the king snake and rat snake have the same diets and the same habits. Basically cousins. Biggest difference is coloring and the rat snake usually has kind of a scaly ridge down its back where the King snake is smooth scaled. I said King snake at first but that is definitely a rat snake.

Rat snakes aren’t really snake eaters or lizards either (not saying it never happens), their diet is primarily rodents and birds. King snakes will eat just about anything that is smaller than them, and sometimes even bigger.

Blacksnake eating cottonmouth
Definitely looks like a black rat or black racer snake but the smaller one does not look like a cottonmouth at all. Looks like a water snake. Cottonmouths proportions are unmistakable. Very thick bodies relative to their length. Their tails almost look stubby.
