I've been seeing lizards but no snakes so far. But if lizards are out the snakes are either there or close behind.

Same. Was helping my cousin put together a shed on Saturday and a lizard fell out of the roof tube steel onto his arm. Scared the crap out of us lol

Not yet, but I've started looking. My wife and I usually kill a handful of Copperheads and Timbers every year.

We found a cottonmouth on a road through the swamp first week of January. High temp that day was 32* and the high of the week was in the 40s. He wasn’t dancing a jig but wasn’t torn up either. I try to walk in the shady patches just to be safe.

Friend of mine told me to piss out in your yard all around the perimeter. For real. Told me that the smell of that much urine tells the snake it’s in a bigger animals territory and will typically go around. He’s a critter getter so I take his word on it. Between my boy and me we cover the yard well. And in 10 yrs I’ve only seen 1. True story
