My grandmother god rest her soul took the approach that the only thing better than one snake was two snakes. Of course she made one snake into two snakes with a hoe or shovel or whatever was close by. She never bothered to identify them.

My mother (88 yrs) identifies 2 types of snakes - live or dead! Plastic fishing worms even freak her out, guess how I know. Probably a good thing I didn't make the bed correctly, what a beating, I still remember after 35+ yrs!!

My brother got hit by a big Timber while Turkey hunting several years ago. Fortunately it hit his snake boot. It was the loudest yelling I ever heard from him followed by three quick shotgun blasts. I was LMAO!
