So gun sales are up 600 percent.

The sales in VA have been up about 47% since Dec 2019, over the anti gun laws, man, they must be running out by now with this..I wonder if it's gun owners working on their wish lists or new gun owners ?

Lot of first time buyers...

I mean, for most of the people out there like us... We have enough guns and ammo for several lifetimes of crisis...

You can only carry so many guns and ammo, so the average gun owner that already has a rifle or two, a shotgun and one or two handguns, probably doesn't need more to protect themselves... If SHTF and I have to pack up and leave, most of my guns would likely have to stay behind... toss a couple AR's and a shotty in the truck, my wife and I each carry a higher capacity 9mm, and throw in a couple ammo crates of .223, 9mm and 12ga buck, slugs and bird shot...

Other than that, how much can one realistically walk around with, right?

I saw some news reports on this and some of the stores were reporting that a huge percentage of the increased sales, were first time buyers...

Yeah, realistically we are all good with a proven AR, handful of good mags, case of ammo, and a good hi-cap 9mm, few mags, and case of ammo.

I was in Cherokee Gun this morning picking up a transfer and it was full of first time buyers. Most were getting whatever ARs were on the shelf. It was very clear that the buyers had no idea what they were buying or what they needed, but I suppose in the end it's a good thing that more citizens are arming themselves and folks are seeing the necessity in the availability of ARs, 30rd mags, and cases of ammo.

And my hope is that people who obviously feel a need for these weapons, remember that in the election when one party is promising to protect their right to have them, and the other one is promising to take their newly purchased property away.
