The thing with lots of ammo, is that it's heavy... how much can the average person carry on them, if they had to grab a bag and head for the hills?
So I organized my ammo closet.

I think some people already have a cache with corresponding rifles in the hills marked by a 10 digit grid with basic supply needs for the Bugaloo. Always easier to defend the high ground.
The thing with lots of ammo is that the next time there is ammo shortage Armageddon I will still be shooting in my backyard while many of us will be pushing in line with whatever replaces Walmart for the bad gun store of choice.
ETA: Up to a point, of course. I'm not trying to keep a million rounds of ammo on hand.
