May 1941 - so I finally got the "pre-war" gun.

CMP had a bunch of drill rifles, too.

This is a rack grade.

Can't wait to shoot her in a couple of weeks!

They had a bunch of rack grades, National Matches, drill rifles, and those funny ones in .308 today.

It's a sickness, I know...

There was one from '42 but the stock had some serious cracks/missing pieces...ME was 1+ and TE was 3+...I wanted the barrel but couldn't get over the condition of the stock!

Nice. I was there today as well. You can still find a few good ones. I asked if they would be bringing back the SGs before the end of the year. The answer......"Not this year and likely never".
