When I was a younger man I'd have said it the same way. I HAVE to.
As an older guy I see it the way captdave does and that's really how it is.
Some things get more clear with age.

(Unless you're actually talking about seeing with your eyes, lol)

I think that's why we understand ourselves better with age...with failing eyesight like ours "looking inward" is about all we CAN do.

It's a very solid company, and I've worked for them for 4 years. They just did a piss poor job of geographical staffing. But no, I wouldn't get a pink slip IF I go to CA. They have a hard time getting ANYONE to relocate to CA (wonder why). I would have to stay for at least one year. But if I come back to GA, my pay would stay the same, and my bonuses/raises would be based on the increased Cali pay. Only down side is, if I don't stay for 2 years, they would only pay half of relo back to GA. But hell, it's a truck and a bunch of stuff I can fit in an enclosed 6x10.

Sounds like they are really pushing the Kali thing...One piece of advice, from someone who has been SCREWED OVER once in the Private Sector and once in the Public Sector--Get ALL their Promises IN WRITING--Managers sometimes have very short memories when it comes to situations like this--Good Luck!....mikey357
