Wow....this is why I don't want to live where I can see my neighbors. What you have here is a very tricky situation....IMO if you can see people, you shouldn't shoot in that direction. I understand you want to shoot and it's probably safe, but I've seen bullets skip up many different hills by a lot of different shooters. Is having your own range really worth the risks it comes with?
P.S. I've been here before....kinda. Back in Texas I accidentally peppered my neighbor and her horse while they were out in the brush with my shotgun (my brother and I were shooting clays) from about 800 yards away. She popped off a few shots with her rifle to let me know she was there and we stopped shooting for the day. We later had a talk about how she didn't appreciate having lead shot rain down on her while tending cattle. We now shoot in a different direction for clays.
