Yes, but between me shootin blanks, my beer gut, and getting older, my aim and trajectory aren't quite like it used to be.
We were like you. We were married 2 years, 1year in the new house, 6 months into 2 new cars and both work 40+ hours a week. We're early 30s. My daughter is now 15 months old, things are tight, my wife had to go freelance to work from home, I'm probably going to sell my car and go back to driving my old truck. But we're currently on vacation in FL having a great time and my daughter has not stopped smiling. It will be the hardest thing you will ever do. Lots of work and sacrifice. But it all pays off and nothing else matters when you see your child smile.
What you want to do will change. So your really not giving up anything. You still give eachother the occasional night out with friends or date night but you will find that you really just want to be with your family.
I still love my car and gun hobbies but they now take a back seat to my daughter where before I was so selfish that I put them before my wife.
yep. everything you will want to do will center on making your baby smile and have fun. but like he said, you still get time out with friends and dates with the wife. date night is very important. don't worry, I promise the babies grandmas will have no problems about babysitting! when you have a baby you cant forget to make time for the spouse. make sure you make time for everything the word spouse means or the marriage will go south in a hurry. you'll find out just how good you can be at time management.
