Ive considered this and tried to convince my flight controller wife of it's possibility. She's part of the system and thinks I'm nuts.

Well she's not in the tower. She's in the Operational Control Center, and they can't have anything more than aspirin and antacid I their system. She's went back to work a week after having her ACL replaced, and she had to tough it out with ibuprofen in order to be cleared.

You probably tried to explain it while she was making your sandwich. You have to wait until you have their full attention.
