So who all rides motorcycles?????

For those that have not been on Wayah Road, this is it. The link below starts like 12 min in, so you don't have to listen to be yapping about dropping the bike and other inane stuff too much. It's not a road you can really rip on unless you know it inside and out, which I don't. But its still fun, and almost NO TRAFFIC on a Saturday, which is more than one can say about the Dragon...

You’d really like Natchez Trace. I probably already mentioned it? There’s a nice resort/hotel with lake views and boats to rent. We just stayed 1 night after breaking off from the Trail of Tears ride back in 2003. Came back through Lynchburg and got to see the J.D. distillery. Seen zero cars on Natchez.

Really? I know everyone is different but that was honestly the most boring road I ever rode on. We were so glad to be off of it. Rode it end to end. I'm no speed demon but 50 mph and less on THAT road was painful. At least the views on the BRP make the slow speeds enjoyable. I'm not surprised there no cars on it. ;) But again, different strokes.
Perhaps at the right time in the fall on the northern section for an hour or so would be nice.

Yea, different strokes I reckon? We’d just got out of 2 day’s worth of stop & go ; that might’ve helped? We really opened them up with the trees looking almost like a tunnel.

Kinda funny, my Father in law and Brother in law were on Softails , I’d just picked up a SE Roadglide and it poured down raining half way home. My boots got wet , they didn’t fair as well lol.

I like long range views more. On that side of the world, some of the stuff on the BRP especially north of it into Shenandoah Valley is just spectacular. One day I'm going to straighten out a curve enjoying those type views. Worse ways to go I guess.

Great vid.. enjoyed it. I’ve never run it in that direction. Always came in the other way after Cherohala or the Tail and….never at those speeds…lol
BTW..the store / station at the beginning of Wayah has some decent boiled peanuts!

Maybe it's the yankee in me, but boiled peanuts are gross AF. Hate those things... haha

Foothills Parkway has a nice flow to it and has some pretty nice views as well...

I was expecting more at the battlefield, I think it was that same round? Near anyway. Shiloh . The river view was nice. I like everything off the interstate and outside the cities. Beachside early mornings and mountain rides are what it’s all about for us.
