So who all rides motorcycles?????

A buddy and I are meeting up at the Chevron at the top of 400 in Dohlonega at 11am tomorrow... Will ride up 60 to TWO for lunch, then then hit some more twisty roads, if anyone wants to meet up and join us. We don't care about what pace you run... if you get ahead of us, wait at the next turn, or we will stop and wait for you. Ride your own pace and we get there when we get there, in one piece.
My kinda riding..haven’t drug a peg ( intentionally) in forever and don’t plan too. I did hit a turn on Wayah rd just recently that kicked my right peg up a bit. Got my attention….

Did TWO for lunch last Sunday. Not crowded at all.

Thinking about getting a 2007 Honda ST-1300.
39000 miles.
Dropped once at low speed, front left turn signal broken off,
other tupperware scratched.
Runs great. Took it for a 30 minute test ride a few weeks ago, and the seller just lowered the price (again).
Are there any special quirks about this bike to watch out for?
Any flaws or "gotchas" it's known to have?
PS: Upgrading from my 1996 Honda Shadow 1100 for the sake of smoother, quieter, less-vibratory cruising on the highways for hours at 90 mph. And to have a longer range between fill-ups.
And just to have a bike that's 11 years younger, for better peace of mind when traveling far from home and far from help.

I have a buddy that has an 07 ST1300. It's a very nice sport tourer, real smooth, but very hot to ride in the summer. Not much air flow on the rider.

The front and rear brakes are interlinked, so fluid changes and bleeding them is an ordeal.

How much? I don't understand why those sell for as cheap as they do.

from the net ~ Some say the ST1300 is comfortable and can handle twisty roads, but it can shake at higher speeds in windy or rainy conditions
