So who all rides motorcycles?????

Tomorrow I hope to leave the ATL area at 5 am on the newly-serviced 2007 Honda ST-1300 sport-touring bike and run it
to "The Last Ride of The Year" at the Stagecoach Cafe in Stockton, AL, just NE of Mobile.
Then, depending how I feel, I may continue the riding to New Orleans, eat some cajun food right around 7 pm, and then ride all the way back home, reaching the 1000 mile mark on the outskirts of Atlanta around 2 a.m.
I'll save receipts and take pics of my odometer at every stop and maybe submit this ride to the IBA as a "saddlesore 1000" ride.

There should be no rain for the next 2-3 days along that route, staying far south, and the night temps should be in the 40s and the highs along the Gulf coast nearly 70.

Be safe!

Sounds like fun! But there's no Cajun food in New orleans. That's tourist Creole gruel. You've got to go a couple hours west on 10 to hit Cajun country.
Ride safely! They're ALL out to get ya'!

On my recent ride out to N'awlins and back,
I noticed that the amount of throttle rotation needed for what I consider "hard acceleration" (but not trying to lift the front tire) is only about 1/5 of a rotation past neutral or idle (hands-off) position. If I were to rotate the right grip even 30 degrees past idle, I'd be doing 100 MPH in short order.
It looks like my "fast cruising" throttle position is only 1/8 of a rotation, or about 22 degrees of arc.

What I want to know…
Did you accomplish your iron butt or did you cave on sore butt???

lol

what a great audio and video recording --- no wind noise ?!?!
That's amazing.

That's the new Insta360 Ace Pro 2... Has a built in wind protector over the onboard mic, plus I have a second mic in the helmet with a double dead cat on it... You will hear the wind at high speeds, no way around that...

If I connect my Cardo comm system to the camera and use that mic, the voice is even clearer because the Cardo has amazing noice cancellation..
