So who all rides motorcycles?????

Same color as my Dad's Ultra Glide Classic. Sham on you saying a Harley rides better than a Goldwing........I haven't ridden his. I haven't ridden a full dresser, but I have ridden a Goldwing and a Fatboy
I didn't mean to dis the Gold Wing. I loved it. But the Wing is 425 lbs load capacity. The Road King is rated at 525 lbs. Maybe that made the difference for me. I'm a big guy.

I’ve owned both and have a Road King now as well. They are seriously two different rides. I could never get totally comfortable on the Wing. The upright seating and foot position just wasn’t right for me. Super smooth on the highway and a joy to ride a short distance only for me. The King is just different in that I can stay in the saddle for long rides without hurting.

They are heavy bikes for sure. So is BMW for that matter. I was sittin on my Dad's the other day. If I wind up with that bike, gettin used to those foot controls are going to be interesting. I've been on Asian bikes all my life. I rented a Fatboy when I was in Fla one afternoon. Hadn't been on a bike in 20 some yrs at that point. First Harley I ever road. Tooled around on it like I'd never been off one.
When I got back home later that year, I bought another bike. I was headed to a Harley dealer to make an offer on one, but I stopped one the way at a Asian bike store. I made a low ball offer on one. They took it, so I never made it to Harley. I still have that bike, KLR 650

That is a big plus. I did notice the seat is nice. It seems with the foot controls forward, you'd be on your hip bones more.

Talladega GNCC today. It was slick
