1000cc bike makes power ups easy and clutch ups dangerous!
We are too busy riding to wave.
Yeah, my 1198 would power wheelie in 3rd gear at over 100mph if you were not careful. I always felt like the bike was trying to kill me. Like walking a pet T-Rex on a leash... lol
When I'm riding, I put my hand way up in the air and wave like I just don't care.

It's one thing if you are just cruising down the road in traffic. But I am not out there in a parade, waving, shaking hands and kissing babies... I am out there to ride, usually at a spirited pace in the twisties, don't have time to keep distracting myself and taking my hand off the bars every 30 feet when a bike goes by.

Waving may be optional but if you clearly see someone wave and don't wave back when your traveling at normal speeds. Then you're a dick. An optional dick, but definitely a dick
So because someone owns a similar vehicle as me, I am automatically obligated to wave or do what they want?
