So who all rides motorcycles?????

I actually got my motorcycle license before I got my car license .... It's basically how I have gotten everywhere unless I had to haul more than one kid at a time since I was 16. It's also kind of in my blood.

Here's my grandpa the day he sold off his last harley because his hands had arthritis so bad he couldn't even hold the grip anymore

Howd they catch u?
I stopped. Infact the first thing the cop said to me was "Thank you for not running, most people would have ran". Stopping didnt buy me anything though.

I was driving threw Dawsonville, pulled up behind a truck. The truck driver waved me to go around him, so I did. As I passed the truck I could see a cop car slowly coming over the hill. I couldnt do anything about it since I was midway passing the truck. Cop passed me, I looked back and saw he flipped the lights so I pulled over and waited for him.

Told the cop the truck driver waved me to go around him. His response was "If the truck driver told you to rob a bank would you rob a bank?", Then took me to jail and impounded the bike.

This experience taught me two things. 1. Dont illegally pass someone, even if they wave you on. 2. Dont stop for cops.

Eluding police is a misdemeanor. Reckless driving (which he ticketted me among other things) is also a misdemeanor. Whats there to lose? My chances of getting away on one of the worlds fastest production vehicle are very high.

Nice ride...Did you lose your license too?

No. Got a lawyer for $1500 to take car of it.

I too have learned those two lessons the hard way.:pop2:

Ride a 2008 Yamaha FJR1300. Have ridden since I was 19 an assortment of generally beat-up mid-'80s Universal Japanese Motorcycles: 1982 Honda Nighthawk 650, 1983 Yamaha Seca 650 (later resurrected with a 750 engine), 1982 Kawasaki GPz305, 1984 Kawaski GPz 550, and a 2006 Suzuki Bandit 1200S. Learned quite a bit about fixing my own motorcycles riding those oil-drippers before stepping into the 21st century with the Bandit. Wow, you can use your front brake now? No one ever told me....
