So who all rides motorcycles?????

I was looking at the Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro but found out it has to be taken to the dealer the turn off the service light. That’s kind of annoying to me especially since there’s no dealer anywhere near me. I do all my own maintenance by necessity. They’re not the only company that has this feature. Aprilia is another company that does this with their bikes. Right now I’m riding KTM, Kawasaki and Beta.

Also, you are in Dohlonega? There is a Triumph dealer right down rt 400 in Roswell... 40 minute drive.

You won't have to worry about taking that KTM to the dealership much longer...
Also, the reason I'll never own another Dookati

Yes KTM is having financial issues but I never go to the dealership anyway. Two of my bikes are KTM singles and easy to work on. Short of an engine replacement I'll never need to see the dealership on my 2019 790 ADV twin either. They extort you for simple work and take way too long.

Only time I've ever taken a bike to a dealership is for something like valve adjustment. I'm a damn grown heterosexual man, I ain't paying someone to service my equipment.

Edit: I have in fact paid to have my "equipment serviced" but it was many years ago and in a few foreign lands. I still maintain that I am heterosexual even after a short stint in Thailand with a questionable "service technician".

Anything like that for BMW?
Yup. You'll need the OBD2 adapter cable, the OBDLink MX+, and MotoScan app. Or, you can get a GS911 reader. I already had the MX+, so it was just the $20 OHP to OBD cable and MotoScan ($30ish). I've used it for my 3 BMWs. All in, you're looking at about $200. If you buy the GS911, you're 3-400. The 911 is a little more robust, but not enough for me to shell out the money for. I usually have the cable and bluetooth adapter in a ziplock bag under my seat when I'm on a longer ride, just in case.
