This Is what I’ve been trying to talk my youngest girl into doing with her Fat Bob she don’t like anymore. NICE!!Finally got the project harley off the lift. She still has some work left, but at least it's rideable now.
Are you dragging it or is the brake caliper tightening after use? If the latter is the case replace your hydraulic fluid and use DOT5. That stuff is hydroscopic and goes bad after 2-3 years. DOT5 resists heat better.I've got a bit of a rear brake drag problem that's heating up my rotor excessively.
So until I find a solution, I'm gonna take advantage ...

Most bikes should do a good 100k before needing much anything. My 2012 ultra recently turned over 50k miles. I’m looking into doing some work this winter doing a set of cam chain tensioners, lifters, cam bearings, and evaluate the cam plate and oil pump. As long as the stock cams are good I will throw them back in. I like the performance I have and it has ran excellent. I’ve rode just shy of 38k miles in just under 3 years. It’s looking like it will be pushing 90k in 3 more years.
