So who all rides motorcycles?????

I love the idea of a silicone based brake fluid. My Harley Sportster used that kind.

But I will not change the type of fluid my bike uses.. I'll stick with the OEM recommended stuff, as that is the specification that is literally engraved onto the covers and caps for the master cylinder/reservoir.
5.1 is glycol.
Your bike have ABS?

No, not an ABS version.
But it does have linked brakes where a secondary master cylinder on the front compresses a few millimeters during front end braking and activates the rear calipers a little bit.
Can't use silicone in ABS systems. In either case 5.1 would still be good.

That’s what my KTM big bikes use. I overheated the brakes on an older adventure bike with DOT 4 running on trials going downhill over 4 foot water dams. Didn’t plan to go that way but the GPS said that’s the short cut. Regarding the brake drag issue. Water can contaminate fluid which makes it expand as it heats. I had a big bike’s rear brake lock up after aggressive use of the brakes due to failure to change fluids. Once I replaced the fluid it stopped doing that.

My 2012 ultra recently turned over 50k miles. I’m looking into doing some work this winter doing a set of cam chain tensioners, lifters, cam bearings, and evaluate the cam plate and oil pump. As long as the stock cams are good I will throw them back in. I like the performance I have and it has ran excellent. I’ve rode just shy of 38k miles in just under 3 years. It’s looking like it will be pushing 90k in 3 more years.
I’d like to go with the S&S geared tensioner on my 2012 Wide Glide one day. I don’t know what Harley was thinking between 2001-2007 with those “plastic” tensioners? I’ll probably show my heads some attention too? A little polishing goes a long way.

You mean you want to gear drive the cam chest instead of running the chain drive

Went and test drove this Saturday. Fully intended to buy but didn't. Few small issues. Really impressive tech though.

Some cosmetic (which drives me crazy) that would require painting one of the bag covers due to it apparently side swiping something 🙄, bike appeared to have been outside, a lot. Filthy (by my standards). Not 100% sure spotting on paint would come out.
The new double wishbone in the front supposedly increased the lean angle and lowered center of gravity. Still felt top heavy. Last full dresser I had was a Valkyrie Interstate. That thing had a real gas tank (with the accompanying weight up top) and even that didn't feel top heavy. It could just be that I've been too long with my rear dragging low on the
Road Star I currently ride. The tech on the bike is amazing. I tried rolling on a few times during the test ride and thought it was a bit lacking. Then I noticed the little mode button. It was set to "tour". Flipped it to "sport" and it was on.... 😎
Shifting (shaft) could have been smoother but again it could just be that I'm now used to belt driven. I've never had an issue with previous shaft drives. Brakes were "grabby" but again, I'm sure it's just being used to that particular bike. When protection was amazing, even for what appears to be a much scaled down fairing and windshield. I still may wind up with one, since my wife has given up riding her own and wants to be a passenger. Just won't be that specific one.
