So who all rides motorcycles?????

I had an '80 GL1100 and the mentioned '00 Valk Interstate but quite a few miles on others. Current gen is really unidentifiable by comparison.
I know the old ones where great. Tech advanced and a low center of gravity. I've never owned or road a full dresser. The bike size, just not fully dressed out.
May wind up with my Dad's Harley some day. It's a Ultra Classic Electra Glide. Something like that. Big heavy bike. I guess I'll try it, don't know how well it will go. I've been riding a basic Asian bike all my life

If I'd ever started wanting a Gold Wing, I'd have just bought a small convertible automobile.
I've always been pretty practical when it comes to bikes. I don't understand riding a bike that gets the same mileage as a car. And the car has climate control......I know it's a thing, but.......

Lol, I don't ride for fuel efficiency. (Having said that even the worst mpg on a bike has been better than the best of any car I've owned) I'm in the market for a classic convertible as well.
Two completely different experiences. IYKYK.

You mean you want to gear drive the cam chest instead of running the chain drive
I think this is what I looked at ? Rebel Customs (Cartersville) had a display set up for comparison; there was no comparison imo . I noticed S&S offers a better tensioner than the factory set up now as well. Idk for sure what the best setup is now because I’ve done more looking and polishing than riding this past year. But yea, the Owner of the shop had his old twin cam geared and he puts a lot of miles on his?

I like the solid gear. The only thing is, old school. If the engine backfires, it has a good chance of damaging the engine. Thing is, there ain't enough slack in the short timing chain to make a difference either

I think the last backfire I had was my ‘97 carbed EVO . My fault.. running big straight pipes.
