So who all rides motorcycles?????

Folks who still think that a Harley is bad about leaking oil and breaking down are way behind times. Those problems were a result of the bad decisions of the AMF era. When AMF owned Harley they had the idea of poor quality and high quantity. They almost put Harley Davidson out of business in the early 80's. The employees of Harley Davidson bought the company back from AMF in 83. The introduction of the evolution (aka EVO) engine and stringent quality standards turned the company around. Mine is a 1988 Electra Glide and I bought it new. 84,000 miles, never leaked a drop of oil, not a single break down, never burned a drop of oil and the engine has never been torn down. The EVO was used from 1984 till 1999 when the twin cam 88 was introduced. Those engines are more advanced than ever. I know a lot of folks with well over 100,000. Miles on their Harley. Just my .02 worth.

Man this bike brings back memories. I had one of these when i was a teenager back in the mid - late 70's

You got her looking good.

Funny thing is.....I haven't touched it yet......THIS is how I bought it 4 months ago. $1 per cc too! We haven't even started, LOL!

Plan is to strip her down, replace, repair as necessary. Polish, clean, fresh fluids, paint, bars and ride. I have some ideas for paint and mods later, but this year I'd just like to get her cleaned up, running good and enjoy riding it stock.

I had to sell my bike for medical reasons but I ended up with a lot of leftover gear that is still brand new. I have a Fieldspeer motorcycle jacket with kevlar arm and back protection that cost $350, a $250 full face HJC helmet xl, travel bag/pack for sissy bar $140, a set of small bags by Max and Ernie and a pair of zip up boots size 13 $150. I am not asking that much but its just what I paid last year.
