The advice on priming the oil system with pressure is very important. I would also spray some pb blaster in each cylinder and let it sit before I ever turned the engine over. Then I would turn it over very gently, feeling for any odd resistance. Moisture may have cause the rings to stick to the cylinder walls and you don't want one to break.

Not just yet I don't. I was really hoping for a much simpler project, but looks like this is going to be a year long effort at the least. Getting money and time is going to be the difficult part. Guess it will be one thing at a time. Step one, get the truck and engine to my house. Worst part is, I'll have no funds for this until after the holidays. But hey, she's sat there for how many years now? I guess a few more months won't hurt.
