Sorry for the stupid question!

I am NOT an attorney, so take this with a grain of salt:

I believe the BATF basically stills says a brace is the same as a stock. However, there is a nationwide injunction, preventing them from enforcing the rule change until it is fully settled in court.

So, for the moment I believe you can put a brace on a pistol and it's still a pistol. However, the final outcome of the court cases may change that, so there is a risk of braced pistols becoming SBRs again in the future. Or it could be legally settled that braced pistols are pistols forever.

Here was the OP question:
Are SB3 style braces legal in Ga?”

The answer is a Yes/No question.
And the correct answer is yes, they are legal in Georgia, they are still legal in Georgia as the braced AR pistol that I picked out, paid for and, registered and now own and shoot and possess.
The are legal to own, sell, and trade right here on the ODT trader.
As a matter of fact, they are still stocking, ordering and selling them in the gun store that I bought mine in.

What do you mean "registered"?
Just filling out a 4473?

If you bought a braced AR pistol in the state of Georgia, it ain't registered. Georgia does not have a registry.

There is still a possibility that the Supreme Court will rule that a brace is actually a stock, and anything wearing one with a barrel less than 16" long is an SBR. Anyone who purchased a brace prior to that would probably not be grandfathered in, so I felt it important to let the OP know this.

My apologies for not breaking down a nuanced issue into "yes" or "no" and giving the OP additional information.
