I am NOT an attorney, so take this with a grain of salt:
I believe the BATF basically stills says a brace is the same as a stock. However, there is a nationwide injunction, preventing them from enforcing the rule change until it is fully settled in court.
So, for the moment I believe you can put a brace on a pistol and it's still a pistol. However, the final outcome of the court cases may change that, so there is a risk of braced pistols becoming SBRs again in the future. Or it could be legally settled that braced pistols are pistols forever.
What do you mean "registered"?Please forgive me. But posts similar to yours just adds to more confusion and doubt and questioning.
Here was the OP question:
“Are SB3 style braces legal in Ga?”
The answer is a Yes/No question.
And the correct answer is yes, they are legal in Georgia, they are still legal in Georgia as the braced AR pistol that I picked out, paid for and, registered and now own and shoot and possess.
The are legal to own, sell, and trade right here on the ODT trader.
As a matter of fact, they are still stocking, ordering and selling them in the gun store that I bought mine in.
