I picked my SpectreII yesterday and got to shoot it today outside for a few minutes. Nice little package that really doesn't unbalance the gun. My host was a Browning Buckmark with factory threaded barrel. I was shooting Remington Golden from a bucket (36gr HP standard velocity). Range was about 10-15 yards depending on where we stood. This was my first time shooting with a can and all I can say is WOW. :D:thumb: I may never want to shoot unsuppressed again after this.

The good: Gun cycled and ran like a champ. It does throw casings a lot farther than I would have thought. Most of the time the impact seemed louder than the shot. Shot about 150 rounds more or less and clean up took me about 10 minutes with Nitro solvent, couple of patches, and couple of toothpicks. It was dirtier than I though it would be, but not bad.

The bad: Remington bulk will go super sonic sometimes out of a 5 inch barrel. About every other mag we would hear the sonic crack. Caught myself shooting just to listen to the thwap of the bullets hitting a piece of plywood. Why didn't I know that cans were so much fun earlier.

The ugly: My bank account after I go back over and see Jake about more stamps.

40gr bulk pack is normally a little slower and should stay subsonic. Remington' s standard velocity also has a tendency to go supersonic out of my rifle host.

if i remember right, Dobbs told me 4.5in barrel is the max to keep bulk pack subsonic. I cant verify that just going from what i remember.

Remington bulk ammo may not be the best, but just got 3 buckets it about 2 weeks ago for $70 each. I dont mind having a round go super sonic every once in a while with my set up. Bigger question is how the harvester will sound woth both 308 and 223. Either way, the can put a smile on my face.

remington ammo is dirty and varies greatly in speed from round to round.
