Specwar mount timing

My specwar mounts are not putting the muzzlebrake ports quite horizontal, maybe 1/4 or 1/8 of a turn off on both my AR's and my Hog Hunter. What are the best spaces to use for the fine adjustments? Or should I just have Dobbs Defense make me a flat spacer that is machines until the timing is right?

I have some shims you can have or have nonlib time the threads and go shimless.

Great recommendation. Another choice would be to snag a shim set from AAC, but I really like the idea of using one accuwasher vs having to find the exact right combination of multiple shims.

washers to time a brake which times a can...eh. id say spend the money and have the brakes timed. that way they can be loctited down and you never have to worry about the brake and can backing off at an in opportune time.

yea that's my thoughts, just sucks to have to put even more money into it.

How hard is it to time a brake if the threads are already on the barrel? Do they modify the threads or the mount?

machine the brake. there is a mathematical equation to tell just how much to take off. google it.
