Spelling Matters

Way back when I first joined there was some debate on if it's pronounced SI- GA with the long I or SAY GA like the old game system from the early 90s. Given the SAIGA spelling I assumed it was pronounced SI- GA.
Oh and it's always been odd to me that it's pronounced Sig- Sower but the watch company from I believe the same country is pronounced
Tag HOY- ER.
I translate SI-GA as Yes- Georgia.........:becky:

My youngest grand daughter is spending her senior year of high school in Germany as an exchange student.
Living just south of Berlin.
Last August she was immersed in a German language school for 4 weeks before the school year started.
I can't imagine 4 weeks being enough
