Spot lighter poachers

See if you can find where you think they shot from and look for a shell casing. Chances are they didn't load it wearing gloves and I bet there are several great prints on it seared in from the heat of firing. Might be time for a pair of cheap trail cams on either end of your property (mounted out of reach) watching the gravel road. Make sure to turn them to video so you can get a car tag/driver on film.

Neighbor called me last evening said that he saw buzzards in my hay field, rode over found a dead buck. Antlers were shed but it was a buck.

Apparently some asshole drove down a gravel county road that borders my hayfield and shot the deer then left it.

what the hell is wrong with folks.

Did you call DNR. They don't take kindly to that stuff.
