That is insane.

Well most franchise bidnesses are like that now. Those big ice machines you see sitting on a corner lot where you can fill your cooler for about $2.00 or so. Those machines cost $100K to buy into. Same for UHaul and Penske. I grew up working at a friend's folks U Haul/Texaco in south Macon and they made good money with it. But not that many folks could afford to throw down $100K to get in the truck rental game. And UHaul has a bad rep for throwing another dealer up a mile away from you. And THEN they route all the phone calls they can to the corporate moving centers.
There really isn't a cheap or even reasonable franchise bidness out there anymore.

I had uhual at my shop (mechanic) and there isn't a franchise price to buy into

You had to do this and that and have a phone for uhual
Meet there requirements and you're in business

I did it for extra customer flow and I have to say
Headache !!!!!!

People rents trailer and don't even know how to load a car , leave trash in box truck etc etc

I last about 3 years then told uhual to shove it
