LOL. I scrolled up and had no idea who you were asking. Dart block, dish pistons. I built to take NOS/ supercharger. Ran a 6 in the 1/8th at 135mph. Decided that was just fine. I was lookin for 100mph to keep up with the top performer new cars of the time. 600 lift cam, had to shorten the duration because of running issues. AFR heads, largest CCs I could get. 10.5 compression, double roller with metal gears, scorpion roller rockers, single plane intake topped off with a 850 double pumper Quick Fuel carb. Of course full length headers, built turbo 350 trans with a 308 ratio Detroit Locker posi. Air shocks in back to prevent wheel hop.You. My problem is I like G force........I mean being a Pontiac I would hope that he went with something like the D port heads or the super duty heads and build the engine base on that setup. Today you can get cast iron heads made just like the originals and they don't cost as much as aluminum heads. I just normally assume people are like me and if they rebuild the motor they just have to spice it up a bit. I think you understand the curse. B basstracker89
Doesn't hurt a bit to get a nice lope to get the blood flowing.......You know when you can stand behind the car on a cold day and the exhaust pipes alternate left right with exhaust/ fuel mix stream coming out the pipes......
Why don't you put a self-tuning fuel injection system on it. These days you can get them for a song and a dance and it takes all the pain out of running a carbureted setup. It automatically adjusts for altitude, humidity, air intake temps, ambient temps, fuel octane differences and pretty much every other negative that a carburetor has to put up with and cannot adjust for. It can take a radical rod and make it a lot more enjoyable to drive!Best way. I understand. My car is a cantankerous pain in the butt. I put up with it cause it's so fast. I could detune it some more, but........At least I have other vehicles I can drive. On a day like today, she'd run fairly well in traffic for a short time. 84 SS Monte Carlo, 434 stroker. Bad to the bone.....
I was interested in what you had to say. But I ain't putin electronics on anymore vehicles. That's what causes most of any vehicle problems I have now.......Why don't you put a self-tuning fuel injection system on it.
