It also looks like it makes room under the rail for the ambi charging handle. I agree with you, the rails make it look dorky.

I almost bought the single tube KSG, but that rail. Probably handy in a couple ways, just not sexy to me?

Interesting that it has a shorter barrel than the RDB, but is in fact a longer gun. Looks really long behind the action.
