Squirrel Season opens the 15th

I've had plenty of deer but never squirrel any tips on how to prepare it?
Boil it off the bone, chop, season and yum yum eat em up
I did a couple of squirrel hunts in upstate New York. I had a buddy, regretfully lost touch, who that evening would skin them on the spot, put salt and pepper on them, and put them on a stick over an open fire. It was so much fun.
In highschool, my best friend and I were religious squirrel hunters. Limit out all the time the only thing he would ever do with them were dumplings. He would just season them, put them in a crock pot for several hours, add biscuits, and then serve.
Both of those sound great!

been wanting to try some on the smoker....
My Grandma always cooked the squirrels I kilt and always with dumplings. She would serve them at the table and her,my Uncle and I would eat em all. Made to feel good to provide food.
