Yeah you can't play the old " When I get around to it" game with the ATF. They have zero sense of humor and even less sympathy for mistakes. Now I've met one or two field agents at gun shows and shops over the years and they were okay guys . They were happy to give you all the info you needed as far as forms and NFA tech stuff. But I'm sure the agents that co ducted the investigation in Stag were the typical DC bureaucrat power hungry A holes.Doesnt sound like they were doing anything nefarious. More than likely the unserialized parts were to be used in different guns
