Stainless turned copper

Most likely an alloy steel with plating. Stainless steel generally cuts the same color.
What specific media did you use and what is the ISO of the material?

It was the baffles from my Kestrel 556.

I thought you would have the answer! Falling down, man....

I did notice that after I cleaned mine with dip, they looked a little copper colored. I chalked it up to the heat kind of annealing the metal like annealed brass.

My octane45 baffles look copperish since I bought it.

It looks fine to me?
My guess is it is just heat changing the color of the baffles.

yeah, it's almost a penny color. It's only around the small hole part of the k baffle. I could care less what it looks like. More worried about structural integrity.

The bore? My guess is heat.
