So I was going to do some cleaning on my Star mod Super B and removed both grip panels. You know, the plastic orange ones. No big deal, just two screws each.
Get the cleaning done and the screw holes in the grips don't match the threaded holes in the pistol frame. What?
Seriously tried everything and can't get them to line up. Even searched the webs to no avail.
But then I had an idea - which can be dangerous some times - anyway, heat gun set on low and heated each grip up shy of being too hot to touch with the bare hand.
Bingo. The heat causes the plastic to expand just enough for the holes to line back up. Grip screws are back in and didn't have to file anything away to make them work.
