So we have this 30-30 that the extractor went bad in. I ordered a new one based off of the schematics on Numrich and got the part in. When, I try to install the extractor though the image below is what it comes out like. The extractor appears to be about 1/8" short but it is the exact one shown in the pictures and is the exact correct part number. So, I'm wondering is this some part that was phased out and replaced by this part which now doesn't work. Anyone ever ran into this or have any ideas on how to correct it?

Caveat, I'm not a gunsmith I just run a gun counter so don't laugh at me too hard :P
That picture looked much better on my phone the extractor is laid up on the bolt creating a gap and it isn't seating completely flush like it should.
