The way they brainwash kids today will affect your 2A rights tomorrow.

Help us stop the Common Core in Georgia!!
Attend the rally at the State Capitol.

Did you know?

In 2010 the Georgia Department of Education adopted the national Common Core standards, even though the Georgia state standards were superior to the newly written national standards.

Georgia ceded control of our educational sovereignty to Washington, D.C. bureaucrats and outside special-interest groups.

Gov. Deal still has not decided whose side he is on - the side of Georgia parents and children or big business, Washington, D.C. bureaucrats and outside special interest groups.

If you want to preserve local control of education and testing, and you reject the Common Core initiative, attend the rally. If you oppose data-tracking on our children, attend the rally.

Here are the details:
Date: Tuesday, February 4, 2014
Where: Georgia State Capitol (206 Washington Street SW, Atlanta, Georgia 30334)
Time:
1:30 p.m. - Gather at the south end of the second floor inside the State Capitol.

2:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. - Press conference

Lobby Opportunity
Time: 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Come early and help lobby our Georgia legislators. We will provide talking points and a targeted list of lawmakers to lobby.

Never lobbied? No problem!
We will be conducting several lobby training conference calls the week of January 27.
We need to know if you plan to lobby. Please e-mail your RSVP to cwageorgia@comcast.net no later than Friday, January 31. We will contact you with the meet up location.
Click here to download the flyer. Share it with others!

Just showing up is half the battle. Make a difference. Your presence is vitally needed.

Plan to attend! Bring your kids! Invite a friend!

I don't think GA is going to change. First of GA doesn't having the funds to switch curriculums. They also get funding from Race To The Top. GA has become a huge melting pot for people from other states most of all are on the CC curriculums so its easier for those kids to move to GA and be on the same curriculum.

Make no mistake about it though it sucks, there were no training or textbooks for it and theres no provisions for special needs kids.

We homeschool so it does not affect us but from what I have read it should put America lower than 17 out of 34 developed countries in quality education....

We are with you brother^^^^ We home school our kids also and very glad we do. Its not easy and not for everyone but we love it!!!

We homeschool our kids as well :thumb:.
But that does not mean that we should not try to stop this nonsense. Common Core is a three folds problem: (1) Quality of the teaching/learning, (2) Data gathering, and (3) Brainwashing.

This will affect us no matter what. It will affect people with kids, people with no kids, people that do homeschooling and people that don't.
