Perhaps another approach would to provide some education opportunities for buyers. Maybe a " Before you buy" sticky post that includes things like how to look up MSRP values, not only using manufacturer web sites but also sites like the handgun database at genitron.com; and whatever other wisdom this group thinks is useful. After a goodwill offering of that kind of information then it's caveat emptor.

I know, we need a mandate. Prior to posting an add for sale or trade. The gun must first be posted in an add asking what the value is. Then when we have a concensus the owner can safely sell/trade it for the democratically determined value. OBAMA2016!

That's what make's America the so called free market. I do know some forums require a minimum post before you can pm someone. but I think it's most of the time ten post. but everything is only worth what someone else is willing to pay. might be worth more or less to somebody else. it will all settle down it did before four years ago. I was not a member then I was lurking in the background before I joined. if the laws don't change some how. I feel it will reach normal again.
