If making horses prance and jump at a human's command is inherently cruel, then it's also wrong and evil to PRETEND to be involved in equestrian sports.
Just like slavery is wrong, and by extension so is it wrong for White actors to put on black face, or to use black slang like "jump the broom" to mean getting married
or even to refer to a "master bedroom"
or a "slave pump" when speaking of home design or industrial mechanics.
If it's wrong to have fought on the side of the Confederate States of America, then it must be equally wrong to dress as a confederate soldier as a Halloween costume, or to put a flower on some Confederate soldier's grave.
