storing an auger....

any suggestions on a good way to store a 3 point auger so ya can just back up to it to hookup? too dang heavy to pull around. dont like idea of "just drill it part way into ground and leave it".....

Or if no overhead, build a stand.

I back mine up to one of the pole barn post and strap it down with a strap then disconnect. Can use a tree or fence post or just bury a 4x4

I keep a piece of treated wood under the tip too so it’s not directly on the ground

I put 2 4x4 spread maybe 5’ and ran a piece of well pipe so I could hang by a chain. The posts are about 5’ high. It’s in the back of my shed so its out of the weather. Kinda akward but it works. Really should just sell the auger since it hasn’t been used in years.

Yep but it beats sittings outside and listening to your neighbors talking
