Storytime! Your best LGS deals

Several years ago picked up a gen 4 G22 LEO trade-in - pristine, looked like it was fired maybe once - with bright NS and three mags and everything for $350 OTD. Of course, don’t have it anymore. Miss it though.
Last year I got the same one in great condition here on ODT with a 9mm conversion barrel, 11 mags, and a bunch of defensive rounds in 9 & 40 for $275.

280 out the door for a LE trade-in G23 in '12 at a pawn shop back home.

Paid 250 for a Saiga .410 at a "trading post" and sold it for 450 a few weeks later around '09. Also back home.

SW9VE with sand in the slide. I guess the guy at the counter didn't feel like cleaning it, so he offered the guy with the gun 100 bucks. I followed him outside and gave him 150 in the parking lot... i guess that's not really GS deal, but homie slept on it and I picked up the slack. Prolly '09 or around then.

There's probably a few others if I think hard enough.

I think the only way you ever got a great deal in a gun store is if you worked there or were friends with the owner. "Blaser? Sounds foreign. They only fetch $100 round these parts."

Got a 1957 pre 64 model 94 in early 2000's for 250.00 ODT at a pawn shop;a Browning SA 22 LR Miruku for 275.00 around the same time, and many more over the years, that were solid deals at the time, but have turned into smoking good deals now,due to their collectability.I buy guns that I personally like and have been extremely fortunate in that later, these same models become highly sought after down the road by enthusiasts, making them worth substantially more than I paid.My honesty and fairness have made me a blessed man and my cup is running over.

Found a Norinco NHM-91 at a disgusting title pawn/bottom-feeder pawn shop in Eatonton about 6-7 years ago. only a handful of guns. Mostly just grandmas jewelry and Walmart TVs. Regular stock, not the thumbhole grip, threaded barrel, excellent shape. The dinosaur behind the counter said it was the best Mosin he had ever seen. $300 out the door. Still one of my favs....

My friends bought Glock 17 for 900 bucks. Brand damn new for 300 piece. I don't know much about Glocks but 300 for reliable, proven and we'll built gun seems like a deal to me. No I take that back. They got like one 17, one 22 and one 24 or something to that effect. Ok

About 10 years ago, I fell into a 1939 S42 (Mauser MFG) P-08 Luger with matching numbers, WWII magazine, WWI magazine, Proof marked holster with loading tool. It was a REMF gun which had been carried a lot and shot little.

It was $500
According to an avid collector I know, it was easily worth 3 times the asking price.

This was at a prominent Gun shop in Fayetteville.

You just wanna run out the door with it at that point, get it in the truck and peel out of the parking lot before anybody realizes.
