Exactly what I did. Now I know there IS such a thing....
I have heard of subsonic 5.56. Generally its underpowered and so it won't cycle the action of the AR. According to some results from Regan's google search looks like guys are starting to find a formula that will make it cycle the AR.
A lot of ranges question me if I have sub sonic rounds then I would be able to shoot with handguns section of the range .
Buy some 90 gr bullets, get some Trail Boss, and get to loading.
A semi's not going to cycle, but that shouldn't be a surprise. And your twist rate probably won't stabilize the 90s.
I'm not sure what the point is though-- you've just created... .380 ACP, with poorer wounding characteristics, in a gun that's become a single-shot.

there was a company making full cycling sub 223 a while back but i think they are out of business. like mentioned above you better have a 7 or faster twist. last thing you want is a baffle strike. i tried to make my own a while back, and no joy.
