Sunday afternoon irritation

You guys should go to the State Fair in the Fall in Marietta. I work @ headquarters on County Services. You will sit for 30 minutes while the fair goers are let out. Just a part of being near an event that needs traffic control for safety, congestion, and expediency for the population in that area as a whole. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the ONE. At least Mr. Spock thinks so.

ok I think I got it. church goers == dead people to you.

No sir. Down here we respect the church totally. We stop without any traffic directors and let the people leave the church. We pull over when a funeral procession is oncoming.
I guess being in a bigger city it can be uncomfortable for some folks.

I've done a good bit a traffic flagging. My goal is to keep everyone moving and to keep any waiting as even as I can. Of duty cops being paid by the church are only worried about letting the church goers out. Just like in front of a school is to let the buses out and if you have to wait ten minutes so that the people who pay them don't have to wait any that's what you are going to do.

Maybe one day we hire our own cops to block the church entrance. Whenever a car comes over the horizon the church exit gets locked down in the interest of safety. What about the people going home from another less wealthy, less connected church? They had to wait until they could pull out on the road safety only to get hung up so some rich church goer doesn't have to engage his brakes.
