Bad guy breaks into my house I could care less what I thought would happen to me after the fact. Can or no can I'm shooting to put them down and whatever happens after happens.

If you've ever cracked off a live round inside of a small room or hallway, you'll know that sparing your hearing is far more important than them hearing you. It'll ring your bell for sure, probably leave you a bit disoriented, then you're really screwed. I don't own a can, but do keep electronic ear-pro hanging on my rifle for that very reason. It's not too comfortable and will probably cause permanent hearing damage.

Yup the noise and muzzle flash of shooting indoors in the dark will really screw you up if you aren't expecting or used to it.

Lol yeah a shotgun is probably fine, but for those of us in the 21st century that use rifles for defense, it's a different story

Fantastic idea. Only suggestion- make sure you see the intruders face. I can just see some ghetto mama talking about her son was a saint.... Then if they don't have a gun.... Not to mention (as stupid as this sounds) you didn't give them the opportunity to run away. Lol
