Well, it passed. No more tax on NFA items except for MGs and DDs. But you still have to do the paperwork and get the permission slip.

Hopefully this opens up the NFA to a new line of legal attack but...

I 100% think it will. I will say, though, that this does open up Pandora's Box when it comes to registering firearms; is there existing legislation that states this is unconstitutional or illegal?

Agreed, but it's a serious question. I know Georgia doesn't require it, but New York does, plus having ballistics on file with them for your gun, which is a major overstep.

I'm hearing mixed reports, 90 days or Jan 1. And GOA will file a lawsuit right after it's passed to eliminate the registry with no tax.
