I traded into this last week. I fired 25 or so rounds of light ball without issue. It's a soft shooting rifle. I'm going to try experimenting with the adjustable gas system next trip and see if I can make it even more mild. It's much closer to AK recoil than Mosin.

I use 148gr ammo, replace the recoil springs, and then test fire. Use lowest possible setting that will still allow the spent brass to eject. Each one prefers a certain type of ammo.....i have one that hates steel case and one that absolutely loves it over the brass. Sweet shooters for sure!

So far just Bulgarian 147s I believe. Currently set to 1.5. It ran perfect and less recoil than I expected.
